"Où passeras-tu l'éternité ?" is an invitation to reflect on the shared future we desire, specifically regarding the heterosexual couple model in Western societies and the division of domestic labor within the home.
Paintings, fabrics, beads, and installations immerse us in a colorful, almost candy-bright universe that is by turns alluring and unsettling, drawing upon the body, mythology, advertising, and the codes of popular culture. At the intersection of poetry, sociology, art history, and personal symbolism, the artist questions our views on love, care, devotion, and the invisible burden that still too often falls upon women.
Loosely inspired by the "Wages for Housework" manifesto by Italian author Silvia Federici, the majority of the works on display come from the Cécile Cornet's series "Ils disent que c’est de l’amour," first presented in 2025 at the Danysz Gallery in Paris. The exhibition is now traveling to the Hautes-Alpes - the artist’s home region - at Château de Montmaur, for summer 2026.
